Our Las Vegas plastic surgery practice is proud to offer Perlane to area patients who wish to treat facial lines and wrinkles without having to undergo surgery. Perlane is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found in the body. It is used to soften severe facial lines, folds and wrinkles by adding volume and fullness deep into the skin. We may recommend this filler product to treat facial wrinkles around the eyes, chin, lips, and cheeks. Offering a soft, youthful-looking result, Perlane has the ability to last for up to a full year. During the consultation with Las Vegas cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Christopher Khorsandi, he will provide information about Perlane, as well as other fillers that may be suitable options.
"I had a tummy tuck 2yrs ago very very satisfied I'm so comfortable with my body now.THE DOCTOR DID A EXCELLENT JOB ON ME.????"- D.D. / Google / Apr 10, 2018
"I went in for a consultation for fraxel and PRP. The front desk was very pleasant and professional and the front desk receptionist made me feel very welcome. My consultation was with Melanie who was amazing! She went over the procedures and what to expect and answered all my questions. I actually got a few other consultations but came back to VIP because I wanted the best service and treatment and I knew I would get it there. Melanie did my fraxel treatment and PRP and I went back again for a clear & brilliant treatment as well. She did an amazing job and so happy with the results! Melanie is very thorough and makes sure the client is comfortable. Melanie is the best in town for any aesthetic procedure!"- J.J. / Yelp / Mar 22, 2018
"So I am updating my review and I'm still giving everyone a 5+ star rating! I did the fraxel on Monday and it's Sunday evening and yes I am still pink but the results are amazing! My hyper pigmentation and most of my texture is gone! I also received a chin implant with Dr K on Wednesday so I'm still swollen with that but I know I'm going to love the result of that as well! Again I need to give a shout put to Mel for being a beast with a laser! She is my go to when it comes to my aesthetic needs and also Dr K for giving me confidence with my profile. I just wish the swelling would go down faster! lol damn lack of patience. Well I now have a laundry list of other things I would like to tweak. And I know VIP is the place I can trust and know I'll get the best work done!"- V.B. / Yelp / Feb 18, 2017
"Loved my experience! For those wanting to know it was my first time getting the non-invasive fat removal. Sara was my gal and she was very professional and really took her time on me. I will definitely be back to see her! The office is beautiful, the lobby is comfortable and clean so you don't mind hanging out in there if you have to. When I walked in, nobody was up front for a bit but I think she was guiding a patient and she was nice and helpful. Thank you VIP!"- A.R. / Yelp / Mar 21, 2018
"Dr. K is the best!! - If you want the best, go to the best. Dr. Khorsandi is on another level talented. Went to several doctors for my rhinoplasty and breast aug revision. He was genuine, honest and passionate. Two years later I am so happy I chose him for these procedures. I'm turning 40 this year and need some body lipo and skin tightening done... Thank you kids:) I am scheduling in the next month. It's a no..."- J.S. / RealSelf / Mar 09, 2018
What to Expect
During a Perlane treatment session, the face is thoroughly washed, and marks are made on the areas where the injection will occur. Perlane is injected into to the skin with a fine needle. Although this procedure does not cause any pain, there may be some mild discomfort. We generally apply a numbing cream ahead of time to help keep our patients comfortable. The treatment normally takes 15 to 30 minutes with no downtime. The results are immediately evident. Mild redness and swelling may occur, but this usually subsides within the first 24 hours. The patient is advised not to put any pressure on the injected areas and keep the head elevated for the first evening.
The average cost for a full syringe of Perlane averages about $400. Some patients will only require a single syringe of the product, while others may need several. This depends on the number of areas being treated and the severity of the skin condition. Patients should also keep in mind that Perlane is a temporary fix. In order to maintain the desired results, this treatment should be repeated every 6-12 months.

Best For Which Facial Issues?
Any facial irregularities that are commonly caused by aging, personal habits or environmental factors may benefit from a Perlane treatment. This includes moderate to severe wrinkles and lines, depressions, frown or laugh lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet and other obvious facial folds. Perlane injections are most commonly used for the cheeks, chin, lips and under the eyes to improve contours and volume.
Perlane vs. Other Fillers?
Perlane contains a high dose of hyaluronic acid that may not be present with other fillers. This is the reason why it is more effective in treating certain conditions of wrinkling. Other fillers may be better for mild wrinkles or for patients who are showing the beginning stages of fine lines. The doctor will be able to recommend the best filler to match the patient’s skin condition. In terms of pricing, Perlane does cost a bit more than some of the other fillers as the quality and quantity of hyaluronic acid in the product is slightly higher.
Perlane vs. BOTOX?
BOTOX is a drug that relaxes the muscles under the skin that causes the skin to contract, resulting in skin wrinkling. Perlane shares the same function by smoothening and improving wrinkles and lines, but does it in a way of plumping the skin as volume is injected into it. The two products may supplement each other in a single treatment.
When To Have Reinjection?
Hyaluronic acid (by way of a filler injection) is naturally absorbed by the body over time. This means that there will gradually be a loss of volume where Perlane was injected. This gradual decrease usually takes place between 6-12 months after the initial injection. Patients who love the results they receive from a Perlane injection often come back to our office for additional treatments.
