Procedure Process
Thermage skin rejuvenation heats the skin to the optimum temperature to stimulate the production of collagen. Prior to undergoing a Thermage treatment, we will mark the targeted areas, apply a cool gel to the surface of the skin, and gently roll the skin with a small circular handpiece that emits radiofrequency waves. Thermage skin rejuvenation can be used on the face, neck, stomach, upper inner arms, legs, thighs, and buttocks. In areas such as the legs, the treatment is performed to treat cellulite imperfections, while loose skin and surface wrinkles are targeted in the facial regions.

What To Expect
Thermage skin treatment sessions are performed directly inside our plastic surgery center at VIP Plastic Surgery. There is minimal to no discomfort throughout the procedure. In most cases, the patient will feel the skin heating and then cooling. Although redness and minor tingling in the treated areas are common, patients undergoing this treatment can resume normal activity quickly. Results start appearing within a few hours of treatment and the full effect is usually revealed in a couple of months, and can be long-lasting as long as the patient adheres to a healthy lifestyle and skin routine.

Ideal Candidates?
Thermage skin rejuvenation is a procedure that improves loose skin and wrinkles. It is not a treatment for weight loss, and does not necessarily affect the texture or surface irregularities like pigmentation, discoloration or age spots. Individuals who are not comfortable with a surgical procedure such as a facelift but still hope to slow down the visible signs of aging, may likely benefit from this technique. Patients with excessive loose and sagging skin will be better candidates for a body contouring surgical procedure.
How Long do the Results Last?
