Xeomin is a prescription medication that is made from Botulinum Type A, bacteria that create botulism, which blocks nerve activity in the muscles and causes a temporary reduction in muscle activity. A distinct difference between Xeomin and BOTOX is that Xeomin does not have any additives, therefore patients may be less likely to develop a resistance to it. During the initial consultation with Las Vegas cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Christopher Khorsandi, we will discuss the differences between Xeomin and the other wrinkle relaxer products that are on the market. Once injected, Xeomin creates a softer glow on the face, diminishing facial furrows and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat eye muscle conditions caused by nerve disorders, such as uncontrolled blinking and spasms.
"Dr Khorsandi and his rep Lee were wonderful. After comparing many different places and contemplating a long time I chose this place, and several months later I am still very happy I did. I couldn't be happier with the results. The level of customer service and care was what set them apart from the competition. Khorsandi's team worked tirelessly and meticulously to provide astounding results. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering hair transplant."- J.S. / Yelp / Sep 12, 2019

"So I am updating my review and I'm still giving everyone a 5+ star rating! I did the fraxel on Monday and it's Sunday evening and yes I am still pink but the results are amazing! My hyper pigmentation and most of my texture is gone! I also received a chin implant with Dr K on Wednesday so I'm still swollen with that but I know I'm going to love the result of that as well! Again I need to give a shout put to Mel for being a beast with a laser! She is my go to when it comes to my aesthetic needs and also Dr K for giving me confidence with my profile. I just wish the swelling would go down faster! lol damn lack of patience. Well I now have a laundry list of other things I would like to tweak. And I know VIP is the place I can trust and know I'll get the best work done!"- V.B. / Yelp / Feb 18, 2017
"Dr. K and all of his staff were absolutely amazing! I had been suffering with a keloid the size of a grape for such a long time and it really dwindled my confidence. I used to always avoid updos and anything that would allow anyone to see my ears and ultimately would hide the better half the right side of my face. I had it removed once before and it came back at what felt like 3 times its previous size. After almost giving up after seeing multiple doctors who couldn't or refused to propose a solution, I came across Dr. K! He changed my life and gave my confidence back! I looked at myself in a completely new light because of him and I could not be more grateful! Thank you, Dr. K, Karen, and staff! You guys are phenomenal."- C.L. / Google / Aug 24, 2019
"Love the office and the staff! Dr K always takes his time to chat about all the options available to get best results!"- A.B. / Google / Aug 24, 2019
What to Expect
Xeomin is an in-office procedure that is usually performed in less than 30 minutes. Prior to treatment, ink marks will be made to the injection sites on the face, and a fine needle will deliver the product directly into the skin. Xeomin is most effective in treating frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead furrows, and wrinkles around the chin area. There is no pain during the injection, but numbing creams may be applied to ease any discomfort caused by the injection prick. Mild swelling and redness may appear on the injection area, which usually subsides after a few hours. After a Xeomin treatment, there is no downtime, and most patients may resume normal activities.
The average cost for a single syringe of Xeomin is about $350. This cost is similar to both BOTOX and Dysport as well. Some patients will only require a single syringe of product, while others will need several in order to attain the results they desire. Additional treatments will be needed about once a quarter in order to maintain results.

Is BOTOX Better?
Xeomin is purely botulinum toxin type A unlike BOTOX (or Dysport), which has additives. This decreases the chances of the patient’s immunity to the medication. There is also the ease of distribution as Xeomin doesn’t require refrigeration. Other than that, both provide the same effect in treating facial cosmetic issues.
Is This Safe?
In the hands of a well-experienced practitioner, muscle relaxants are safe. The effects are also temporary, so if the patient is dissatisfied with the results, they can be rest assured that these results will not last forever. Xeomin has been proven by the FDA to be safe and effective to use.
Combined With Fillers?
A growing trend nowadays is a “liquid facelift” in which both muscle relaxers and derma fillers are combined in a single treatment. It is a noninvasive way of rejuvenating the facial appearance without surgery. Most patients who prefer this method believe the temporary and safe results outweigh the risks of a surgical procedure.
