What is Xeomin?
Xeomin is a prescription medication that is made from Botulinum Type A, bacteria that create botulism, which blocks nerve activity in the muscles and causes a temporary reduction in muscle activity. A distinct difference between Xeomin and BOTOX is that Xeomin does not have any additives, therefore patients may be less likely to develop a resistance to it. During the initial consultation with Las Vegas, NV board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Christopher Khorsandi, we will discuss the differences between Xeomin and the other wrinkle relaxer products that are on the market. Once injected, Xeomin creates a softer glow on the face, diminishing facial furrows and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat eye muscle conditions caused by nerve disorders, such as uncontrolled blinking and spasms.
"So I am updating my review and I'm still giving everyone a 5+ star rating! I did the fraxel on Monday and it's Sunday evening and yes I am still pink but the results are amazing! My hyper pigmentation and most of my texture is gone! I also received a chin implant with Dr K on Wednesday so I'm still swollen with that but I know I'm going to love the result of that as well! Again I need to give a shout put to Mel for being a beast with a laser! She is my go to when it comes to my aesthetic needs and also Dr K for giving me confidence with my profile. I just wish the swelling would go down faster! lol damn lack of patience. Well I now have a laundry list of other things I would like to tweak. And I know VIP is the place I can trust and know I'll get the best work done!"- V.B. / Yelp / Feb 18, 2017

I am so please with my results and my recovery was much faster than expected. He really is the best, he has earned every award rightfully so."- A.S. / Google / Oct 22, 2019
"I have had the best experience at VIP Plastic surgery. Melanie is the "Master Esthetician". She is knowledgeable and on top of the latest new trends with lasers, skin care, etc. I will be going to her for all my upkeep work on maintaining a youthful face and neck. And especially with the removal of a few tattoos with the "Picosure Laser". She is a complete doll! *Before and After* *1 session of the picosure laser treatment *"- N.C. / Yelp / Oct 20, 2019

The place is always so clean and the receptionist are always welcoming . They also offer a lot of non surgical procedures that help with skin tightening and cellulite. Xeomin is an in-office procedure that is usually performed in less than 30 minutes. Prior to treatment, ink marks will be made to the injection sites on the face, and a fine needle will deliver the product directly into the skin. Xeomin is most effective in treating frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead furrows, and wrinkles around the chin area. There is no pain during the injection, but numbing creams may be applied to ease any discomfort caused by the injection prick. Mild swelling and redness may appear on the injection area, which usually subsides after a few hours. After a Xeomin treatment, there is no downtime, and most patients may resume normal activities.
Xeomin Expected Cost
The average cost for a single syringe of Xeomin is about $350. This cost is similar to both BOTOX and Dysport as well. Some patients will only require a single syringe of product, while others will need several in order to attain the results they desire. Additional treatments will be needed about once a quarter in order to maintain results.

What to Expect with Xeomin®
Is BOTOX Better?
Xeomin is purely botulinum toxin type A unlike BOTOX (or Dysport), which has additives. This decreases the chances of the patient’s immunity to the medication. There is also the ease of distribution as Xeomin doesn’t require refrigeration. Other than that, both provide the same effect in treating facial cosmetic issues.
Is This Safe?
In the hands of a well-experienced practitioner, muscle relaxants are safe. The effects are also temporary, so if the patient is dissatisfied with the results, they can be rest assured that these results will not last forever. Xeomin has been proven by the FDA to be safe and effective to use.
Combined With Fillers?
A growing trend nowadays is a “liquid facelift” in which both muscle relaxers and derma fillers are combined in a single treatment. It is a noninvasive way of rejuvenating the facial appearance without surgery. Most patients who prefer this method believe the temporary and safe results outweigh the risks of a surgical procedure.
